Midbar is an audio-visual interactive installation utilizing augmented reality technology. In this installation, the spectator experienced a 15 minute interactive adventure about immigration and relocation by observing physical sets while listening to the narrator and interacting with AR content on an iPad. I strongly understood multi-disciplinary artist Rachel Weiss' feelings and urgency to create this installation celebrating the merging of cultures in a multi-sensory installation.
The main goal is to invite the spectator to cogitate about the complex identity of immigrants. The installation includes intimate storytelling from a narrator's experience, entering the artist’s world. The narrator creates a trajectory guiding the spectator though the installation.
