Background

As part of my Software Engineering and Architecture course during the Fall 2020 semester, I designed the user interface and architecture of a grocery store navigation app. I contributed to the use case diagrams for supermarkets and retailers, shopping centers, and defined the technical details for the application's rendering and back-end. I gathered inspiration for the mobile app UI and collaborated with my project partner to build out these wireframes on Miro. I also built the user flows on Miro.

Discovery Stage

Some of the pins saved as inspiration for the app. Click on the image to be linked to the Pinterest board we used.

Throughout the discovery stage, I searched through Dribbble and Pinterest for examples of already existing grocery store navigation apps, if those existed, and for e-commerce grocery apps. I then translated those findings into a rough outline of requirements for our app. This was done in Miro, where I also subsequently defined the user and system flows.
